The makers of the VI Peel, Kalil Medical Products, Inc., recently completed an intense clinical study hosted by the esteemed International Research Services, Inc. The evaluation studied the safety and effectiveness of KMP’s Vi Peel Facial Peel on participants with a variety of skin types and various levels of wrinkles and fine lines. International Research Services, Inc. concluded the following:

After close examination, Vi Peel was determined to be completely safe within intended use.
Crow’s Feet line improvements were “statistically significant for the spacing parameter, and trendwise (directionally) significant for five additional parameters.”
Fine Lines & Wrinkle improvements were “statistically significant. Overall, the changes were in the direction of smoother fine line texture, i.e., decreases from baseline for Rz, Shadows and NumWr.”
Up to 71% of participants reported a significant improvement in “improved fine lines” and “skin suppleness.”
Signs of minor irritation decreased quickly after participants used the Vi Peel.
Participants rapidly showed a reduction in melanin content and increase in collagen content.
Just two weeks after Vi Peel use, participants showed a hemoglobin increase, suggesting increased blood flow to the treated areas.

This physician-supervised, one time chemical peel is the new standard in the treatment of resistant melasma. It is specially formulated to block the process that causes hyperpigmentation without the use of TCA (trichloroacetic acid) or hydroquinone (skin bleaching agent). The treatment is rapid and easy, and can be used on all skin types. There is a very high safety margin and it can be used all year round. Skin becomes bright and rejuvenated with lightening of spots and brown areas in just 1-4 weeks. Cosmelan® is also highly effective in treating acne by reducing the amount of oil that is produced by the oil glands.

Cosmelan® Depigmentation Treatment is preformed in two parts:

Office Treatment (Cosmelan 1) – The surface of the skin is thoroughly cleansed to remove any dead cells and oily residue. A facial mask is then applied under the physician’s supervision. The time required for the cream to act completely will be determined based on your skin type and the severity of the discoloration.
The day following the office treatment your skin will be slightly reddened – much like a mild sunburn – and you will experience some flaking and peeling. Some people experience stinging, itching, and a tightening feeling. This is normal, and may be alleviated by using the Hydra Vital Factor K Cream that will be provided.

Home Treatment (Cosmelan 2) – The office treatment is then followed by the Cosmelan 2 home maintenance cream. The cream will be applied daily to keep your skin smooth and clear, and maintain the lightening achieved with the Cosmelan 1. You should not use other lightening cream while on the Cosmelan system.
